Confessions of a Frugal Fashonista

Want a custom look for your wardrobe without having to go out and buy a completely new accessory? I am frequently faced with the challenge that a particular necklace would look great with an outfit only if it were a few inches shorter.
Sometimes the secret to custom length accessories is a simple as a well placed paper clip. By simply looping the clip between two links on the chain I was able to temporarily shorten this necklace by about three inches.
This trick works best with longer hair styles or a collared shirt that can hide the clip but depending on what clip you choose, it could become part of the look.
Give it a try and enjoy what you already have in a new way!
Tell us about it: We would like to hear your cost saving fashion tips.
